Manpower is looking for an Electrical Engineer for a company in Drachten.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary engineering team to design and improve control systems for modular machines. You combine electrical engineering with an understanding of software and mechanics, delivering integrated technical solutions. You will frequently coordinate with colleagues from engineering, operations, and service to ensure performance and quality. As an Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities include:

  • Updating and maintaining existing machines and control systems
  • Developing new electrical functionalities
  • Designing and elaborating electrical schematics
  • Creating functional drawings for large modular and configurable machines
  • Applying relevant machine and safety standards
  • Aligning with software and mechanical engineering
  • Supporting technical improvements and optimizations
  • Contributing ideas for process improvement and standardization within engineering

Working hours
The working hours for this part‑time or full‑time position are during regular daytime shifts.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation
  • Experience in machine building or industrial automation
  • Experience with industrial control systems and electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of the Machinery Directive, EN 60204-1 and UL508A
  • Experience with EPLAN P8 and Pro Panel is a plus; other design software is also acceptable
  • Good command of Dutch and English due to documentation and coordination requirements
  • Availability of at least 32 hours per week
  • Strong analytical skills and a precise working method
  • Able to work independently and solution-oriented
  • Focused on improvement and optimization
  • Good communication skills towards colleagues and stakeholders
