Our partner in Ijmuiden is looking for an electrical safety engineer equipped with strong interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills, who can positively influence the team. Manpower is looking for an electrical safety engineer for a company in Ijmuiden.

You will become part of the Electrical Operations department that is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the company’s Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), ensuring a safe working environment for employees on the offshore wind farm sites. As an electrical safety engineer you will be primarily occupied with the following tasks;

  • Ensure that technicians are protected from the wind turbine’s electrical and mechanical systems
  • Follow, understand and advise on local procedures on Control of Hazardous Energy or Electrical Safety standards
  • Support in new procedure implementation and that all personnel are properly trained/inducted in their use and application
  • Support all documentation and record-keeping associated with the Control of Hazardous Energy or Electrical Safety program
  • Provide technical support to Site Management and technicians onshore as well as offshore into mechanical/electrical related safety and operations issues

Working hours 
In this full-time position you will be working 40 hours a week during regular business hours (for example, 7.00 to 16.00 o’clock or 8.00 to 17.00 o’clock) 

Requirements

  • At least a degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering OR a completed apprenticeship OR other relevant field knowledge of EN 50110-1 Operation of Electrical Installations / EAWR and other European Standards applicable for the region of employment
  • At least three years of work experience as an electrical engineer, electrical safety engineer, maintenance engineer, or comparable
  • Availability of 40 hours per week
  • Three years practical experience with LOTO/WTSR/HV Rules 
  • Good command of the English language both verbally and in writing due to communication in the workplace
  • Knowledge of/or experience with WTSR, HV Safety Rules, similar Safe Systems of Work, supporting procedures, and documentation

Preferably, you live in (or nearby) Ijmuiden, Den Haag, Haarlem, Amsterdam, Alkmaar or Utrecht.
