Employment agency Manpower is looking for an HR payroll employee for Dow Chemical in Terneuzen. Working activities
As an HR payroll specialist at Dow Chemical, you will take a leading role and represent payroll activities and aligned EMEAI countries. Your objective is to ensure employees are paid in time and accurately, and to ensure that payments are in compliance with respective country tax-legislations, agreed labour conditions, and company rules and regulations. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and report to tax and governmental agencies.
You can expect to perform the following tasks:

  • Serving as the focal point and bridge between payroll providers, employees and different roles within Dow Chemical
  • Interchanging and validating salary input and output data with payroll providers
  • Reporting tax, social security and pension related data to local authorities
  • Developing and implementing payroll strategies
  • Leading payroll improvement and change projects
  • Ensuring accurate and on time payments to employees and local authorities
  • Monitoring internal and external financial audits
  • Cooperating with HR and controllers
  • Validating, reconciling and posting payroll related financial data
  • Coordinating payroll activities pertaining to impat and expat, Employees Stock Purchase plans, Long Term Incentives and stock option programs

Working hours
The working hours in this position are between 7.00 and 18.00 hrs.

  • Gross salary between €2,800.- and €3,600.- per month

Job requirements
To qualify for this job, it is important that you meet the following requirements:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources or Finance
  • You have a good to excellent command of the English and Italian language (at least C1 level according to the Common European Framework for Reference of Languages)
  • You possess excellent communication skills
  • You are experienced in:
    • Leading teams
    • Cross-cultural and cross-functional change management
    • High volume operational environments
    • Internal controls through prior audit participation
    • Managing complex labour and payroll related legislations
    • Collaborating with HR
  • You are available for 40 hours per week
  • You preferably live in or near Terneuzen, Vlissingen, Terneuzen, Middelburg or Bergen op Zoom
  • You can apply for a Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag (VOG, or a Certificate of Good Conduct)
  • You possess a EU citizenship or a Dutch work and/or residency permit that is valid for at least 9 months
