Employment agency Manpower is looking for a Logistics Service Coordinator for Dow in Terneuzen.

The main task is providing day-to-day logistics support, expertise in arranging transport and managing logistics issues. Next to that we come across situations that require exception-management skills and a problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Follow up on customer requirements to ensure on-time delivery and lowest cost-to-service product transportation to the final destination
• Monitors Logistics Service Providers on performance
• Ensures timely processing the administrative flow of the inbound and outbound process
• Responsible for solving transactional failures
• Close collaboration with Logistics Service Providers, taking appropriate action in case of non-compliances and supports logistics Quality Measure resolution
• Verifies if logistics capacity versus demands can be matched (including special requests)
• Responsible for accuracy of logistics data and accurate logistics charges
• Manages non-standard orders, changes and exceptions requiring different transport arrangements
• Checks, approves and books (additional) logistics costs in system timely

Working hours
The working hours in this full-time position of 40 hours per week are during regular office hours.

For this role, Dow works with a hybrid model where they combine working from home with working from the office. The expectation is that you work a minimum of two days a week from the office and more often when it is required (for example, when you have trainings or meetings).

• At least vocational (MBO) level of thinking and working
• An excellent command of the English (at least level C1-level)
• Experience in logistics would be considered a plus
• Availability of 40 hours per week
• A Dutch work permit that is valid for at least nine months or an EU-nationality
• A certificate of conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag or VOG) that shows you have not committed any criminal offences

The critical competencies required for success are: understanding customer needs, team work and collaboration, taking initiative, time management, attention to details and multiple tasks, interpersonal effectiveness, communication, technical proficiency in use of computer applications.
