Cirque du Soleil is world-renowned for its enchanting shows full of acrobatics, theater, music, and visual magic. For the temporary show Kurios in The Hague, from October 24 to January 5, we are looking for a Wardrobe Technician to join the backstage team. In this role, you ensure that all costumes remain in top condition throughout the shows. You work in an international team, so it is important that you speak English. Read on!

Manpower is seeking a Wardrobe Technician for Cirque du Soleil in The Hague.

As a Wardrobe Technician, you work right in the heart of the show’s magic. You make sure all costumes look flawless every day and are ready for the stage. This includes ironing, steaming, washing, and distributing the costumes in the dressing rooms. You also perform minor repairs or alterations and carefully inspect everything for holes, tears, or stains. Sometimes you work with needle and thread, sometimes with creative craft materials. No day is the same!

Working hours
Variable working hours during a workweek from Wednesday to Sunday.

• At least three years of experience as a professional seamstress with experience in costume repairs for large-scale stage productions
• Skilled in using both domestic and industrial sewing machines, as well as hand sewing
• Technical skills in costume construction, painting, shoe repair, hat making, makeup and hairstyling, or other related theatrical crafts are a plus
• Knowledge of English and the ability to read English texts are essential
• Able to independently organize your own work with little supervision
• Proficient in sewing various fabrics, including stretch, neoprene, and woven materials
• You are fully available during the entire period of Cirque’s stay (October 24–January 5)
