Employment agency Manpower is looking for several composition specialists for Dow Chemical in Terneuzen.
 
Working activities
As a composition specialist at Dow Chemical, you are responsible for providing expertise to enable the creation, maintenance and update compositional information of Dow products in Dow ERP system. You will be part of the enterprise material safety data sheets authoring process. 
 
You can expect to perform the following activities:

  • Define the product composition(s) to be used for regulatory compliance check and for generating material safety data sheets
  • Execute defined work flow tasks aimed at loading product characterization in the ERP system
  • Create specifications in the ERP system corresponding to products and raw materials
  • Perform substance volume tracking (SVT) and other product safety compliance assessment
  • Support Development and implementation of tools, templates and work processes documentation
  • Deliver formula compositional expertise for EH&S Product Regulatory including ERP system updates and upgrades within a geographical region

The working hours in this position are during office hours.
 
What do we offer you?

  • Gross salary between 4,000 and 4,6000 euros per month
  • Salary paid every four weeks

Functie eisen

Job requirements
To qualify for this job, it is important that you meet the following requirements:

  • You hold a master’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a similar science-related field
  • You preferably have working experience in the field of product development or R&D
  • You have an excellent command of the English language
  • You have proven knowledge of chemistry, in particular organic and polymer chemistry
  • You are proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and other office applications
  • You possess good quantitative reasoning ability
  • You preferably have knowledge of the SAP R3 EHS functionalities
  • You preferably possess experience with chemical control regulations
  • You preferably have knowledge of organosilicon chemistry
  • You preferably have a good understanding of formulation chemistry
  • You are available for a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • You live up to 75 km from Terneuzen, for example in Goes, Bergen op Zoom or Hulst
  • You have your own means of transportation (bicycle, moped, scooter or car)
