Employment agency Manpower is looking for a supply chain specialist for a client based in Almere.
Working activities
As a supply chain specialist, you are responsible for the end to end management of product supply for a designated portfolio of products to the EMEA region. Your ability to interpret data, influence others, communicate and prioritise workflows is crucial to the company’s success. You need to be able to think laterally to solve problems, define business cases and implement solutions.
As a supply chain specialist, you can expect to perform the following tasks:

  • Forecast performance assurance and identify imbalances
  • Participate in demand review meetings 
  • Manage Supply and Inventory
  • Ensure demand signals are provided 
  • Review and confirm monthly supply plans 
  • Communicate supply constraints to Demand Managers 
  • Review inventory levels vs demand and actual sales, identify gaps and manage perform 
  • Make inventory reservations 
  • Manage supply to order
  • Provide supply visibility to markets 
  • Monitor overall inventory levels and value of assigned portfolio within EMEA region 
  • Coordinate activities, i.e. Quality, Warehousing etc. 
  • Plan and purchase materials
  • Manage supply performance of finished goods suppliers 
  • Plan, schedule and execute the deployment of goods within the EMEA region 
  • Perform and supervise analyses, reports, communications and special projects
  • Co-ordinate and manage internal and external communications
  • Support Sales and Operations Planning

Over het bedrijf

Your future employer is an international pharmaceutical company in the Almere area. We can’t tell you anything more about our client until you have progressed to more advanced stages of the application process.
The working hours for this position are from 8.30 until 17.30h.
What do we offer you?

  • Gross salary between 3,600 and 4,500 euros per month
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses at 0.19 euros per km
  • A vacancy for a fixed 12 month period

Job requirements
To qualify for this job, it is important that you meet the following requirements:

  • You hold a minimum of a HBO (advanced) degree in Supply Chain Management or similar
  • You have at least 5 years of working experience in an international manufacturing or supply chain planning position
  • You have an excellent command of the English language
  • You have knowledge of SAP EPO
  • You possess excellent logical reasoning and analytical skills
  • You preferably have Six Sigma and/or Operation Excellence skills
  • You are experienced in working with computers and are IT literate
  • You are available for a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • You live up to 50 km from Almere, for example in Amsterdam, Amersfoort or Lelystad

Ideally, you also possess the following characteristics:
  • You have a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • You possess strong analytical and planning skills

This job starts from 4 September 2017 and is for a period of 12 months.
