Responsibilities
As a customer service employee you will be working in the customer service department. This department supports clients during the order processes phase: from entering the order in the various systems up to the delivery of the product. The customer service department serves as the connection between the internal organization, clients and third parties, such as suppliers.

Job Expectations

  • Control and manage the process of an order, from order to delivery
  • In case of changes, errors, or mistakes you have to adress the right people to solve the problems
  • Cooperate with other customer service teams, planner, logistic operators, and administrative employees

The Dow Service Centre in Terneuzen, which employs more than 700 talented employees, is the international service provider for the Dow Chemical Company. The Service Centre is not located on the Dow Chemical plant, but in the city of Terneuzen itself. Dow’s Service Centre employees represent over 50 different languages and nationalities from all across the world. The Service Centre supports Dow and its joint ventures in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India a wide variety of areas, such as logistics, customer service, finance, human resources, translations and much more. Not only does the Service Centre support clients during their ordering processes, they also employ people who handle tax coordination and HR activities. The Terneuzen location is part of a global service network with offices in Midland (USA), São Paulo (Brazil), Mumbai (India), Shanghai and Tianjin (China).

What do we offer you?

  • Gross salary between 2.100 – 2.600 euros per month

Functie eisen

Job requirements
To qualify for this job, it is important that you meet the following requirements:

  • You have at least 1 year of working experience with customer service in an international organization
  • You have at least an intermediate vocational education (MBO level 4)
  • You speak and write English at a C1 level
  • You are fluent in Italian, both in speech and writing
  • You are available for 40 hours per week (24 hours or 32 hours is also possible)  
  • You live up to 50 km from Terneuzen, for example in Goes, Middelburg or Hulst or willing to relocate nearby Terneuzen
  • You have your own means of transportation (moped, scooter or car) OR you are willing to buy your own car or scooter to travel
  • You are able to apply for a Code of Good Conduct (VOG) which shows you do not have a criminal record
  • You are in the possession of a valid work permit for the Netherlands
