Employment agency Manpower is looking for a Costume Attendant for Cirque du Soleil in The Hague.

In this role, you are responsible for:

• Preparing all costumes and props behind the scenes during show calls, according to daily cast changes
• Operating the cue track and assisting artists with dressing and quick changes
• Being ready to respond quickly to requests in English from artists, costume, or technical staff, even under stressful conditions
• Ensuring the integrity and safety of all costumes and accessories, including emergency repairs, adjustments, and restoration work
• Washing costumes daily, both by hand and in the washing machine, and inspecting for holes, tears, or stains

Cirque du Soleil, known for its breathtaking shows and spectacular acrobatics, is coming to The Hague with the show Kurios. For this special production, we are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Costume Attendant to join the backstage team.

Working hours
Variable working hours during a workweek from Wednesday to Sunday.

• At least three years of experience as a professional seamstress, with experience in costume repairs for large-scale stage productions
• Skilled in using both domestic and industrial sewing machines, as well as hand sewing
• Technical skills in costume construction, painting, shoe repair, hat making, makeup and hairstyling, or other related theatrical crafts are a plus
• Knowledge of English and the ability to read English texts are essential
• Able to organize own work independently with little supervision
• Proficient in sewing various fabrics, including stretch, neoprene, and woven materials
• Fully available during the entire period of Cirque in The Hague (October 24 – January 5)
