Employment agency Manpower is looking for a Payroll Representative Germany for Dow in Terneuzen.

As a Payroll Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate employee payments in compliance with local tax laws, labor conditions, and company policies. You will perform administrative and control activities for the Dow Payroll department, demonstrating structure, attention to detail, and flexibility. Your role involves coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to efficiently deliver Payroll, Time & Absence, and Data Management services. Key tasks include processing confidential data, validating salary input/output, and executing accurate payments to employees, local authorities, and the payroll provider. This position is part of the EMEAI HR Solutions team based in Terneuzen and is a long-term assignment.

Working hours
The working hours in this full-time position of 40 hours per week are during regular office hours. There is a preference for 40 hours a week but 36 is also possible. Lower than 36 is not an option. Working from home the majority of the time is an option as long as several key meetings can be physically attended.

  • Bacheloror mbo 4 level of thinking and working preferably in HR, Finance or related area.
  • An excellent command of the English and German language (at least level C1/ C2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) 
  • Preferably you also have 2 years of payroll experience or an affinity with numbers and an understanding of seeing connections 
  • Availability of 40 hours per week
  • A Dutch work permit that is valid for at least nine months or an EU-nationality
  • A certificate of conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag or VOG) that shows you have not committed any criminal offences

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Workday, ServiceNow, MS Office & SAP. 
  • Proficiency in any other European language is an asset. 
  • Understand organizational interdependencies and experience working across functions and cultures. 
  • Experience in high volume operational environments is required. 
  • Experience in internal controls through prior audit participation is preferred. 
  • Good problem solving, critical thinking skills and managing competing priorities.  
  • By nature, this job requires a substantial amount of coordination with a variety of internal- and external stakeholders where accountability and ownership of data and processes are key
