Please be aware that you will require the following to be permitted to work in the Netherlands:
For EU residents (except Croatians):
- Valid EU passport
- Citizen service number (also known as a Burger Service Number or BSN) from your local municipality
For non-EU residents:
- Valid non-EU passport
- Valid residence permit for the Netherlands which does not expire within 7 months
- Citizen service number (also known as a Burger Service Number or BSN) from your local municipality
- Valid work permit, or a “Arbeid is vrij toegestaan” notation on your residence permit or passport
Before you can start work, you will need to apply for a Code of Good Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag, or VOG). In order to obtain this certificate, you cannot have committed any criminal offences that are relevant to the performance of your duties.
